Leading Clinical Research Organization in Baja

Kali Clinical Research

Founded in 2015, by Dr. Cesar Amescua, Kali Clinical Research, is a multi-disciplinary clinical research site that brings many years of experience and leadership in the research community to the Baja – San Diego area. Our research site effectively combines strategic accelerated volunteer recruitment and retention with high-quality clinical trial conduct practices for the best development of projects.

Our main office is located at Hospital Angeles in Tijuana, B.C., the most transited border in the world, with an estimated population of over 2 million people. We are neighbors with the state of California, which has the highest record of clinical studies in the United States.

Our knowledge of the applicable regulations, local and regional idiosyncrasies and experience in understanding the needs of our sponsors allows us to develop the conduct of clinical studies with high quality, effectiveness and efficiency.

In addition to having experience in the rapid recruitment and zero patient losses in the studies in which we have participated, it is our priority to be the communication link between our sponsors and the patients, which has allowed us to generate empathy and active participation.

We have the capability of a clinical site with the highest quality standards, certified infrastructure, material and human resources necessary for the best development of clinical studies.

The Potential of Baja Trials

Historically, most clinical research has been concentrated in developed nations.

This trend is obvious from the geographical distribution of clinical research publications; most of the publications and the research itself come from North America and western Europe.

Nevertheless, the presence of clinical research in Baja, Mexico is growing steadily in the last decade, mainly because of cost effectiveness, excellent patient recruitment and the emergence of FDA approved regulatory agencies.

Cost Effectiveness

There are huge financial gains associated with conducting clinical research in Baja Mexico, with up to 50% lower costs when compared to the USA. This is in part because of the materials and actual cost of location for research centers are less expensive and does not compromise standard-of-care or data validity.

Patient Recruitment

Baja Mexico is one of the less exploited regions for patient recruitment when compared with saturated major centers in the USA and Europe. The lack of clinical trials and the strong bond between patients and physicians, make Baja, Mexico fertile ground for patient recruitment and retention.

Regulatory Agencies

During the last decade most Baja California, Mexico has opened agencies and adopted new regulations that adhere to the FDA’s international standards. That is why it is crucial to have a local trials with the expertise to navigate this changing landscape, and locally-based teams with staff who speak the language.
